2nd Annual Kenny Washington Memorial Game

CA State Assemblyman Gil Cedillo addresses the crowd at the 1st Annual Game

The 2nd Annual Kenny Washington Memorial Game will be held on
Saturday, September 22, 2012. Kickoff will be at 4:00pm.

Join us as we once again celebrate the legacy and spirit of Kenny Washington, a true Los Angeles hero, Tiger legend and N.F.L. groundbreaking pioneer.

This year, we will also honor the 1962 Lincoln Tigers and Manual Arts Toilers on the 50 Year Anniversary of what has become known as “The Game” – a 1962 Los Angeles City Championship Semi-final game played to a 0 – 0 tie before a capacity crowd at East Los Angeles College on December 8, 1962. Members from both teams who will join us for a special reception and halftime presentation. As part of our tribute, this year’s Tiger Varsity will take the field in authentic 1962 throwback jerseys provided by the Foundation.

Additionally, we will also bring together our distinguished list of Lincoln High School Kenny Washington Award trophy winners.
