The 1920’s All-Black Throwback Jerseys

The Lincoln Tiger Varsity Football Team will continue the tradition of wearing authentic throwback jerseys from the school’s past at Kenny Washington Memorial Game VI.   At this year’s Game, the Tigers will take the field in the All-Black home jerseys from the 1920’s worn by the Lincoln High Railsplitters (who eventually were renamed the Tigers) in their very first decade of City League football.  This year’s game will feature the Tigers against their oldest Northern League rival – the Franklin Panthers!woo_sponsor50A

Lincoln High School, Los Angeles was the first high school in California prep sports history to wear a throwback jersey in 2011.  This will be the 6th continuous year the Kenny Washington Memorial Game will see the Tigers in authentic throwbacks – a tradition started to honor the legacy of the great Kenny Washington.

This year, you can help sponsor one of our student-athletes with a $50 Sponsorship which will cover the cost of a 1920’s All-Black game jersey for a Tiger on the field.  Also, if you’re interested in your own jersey, you can also sponsor a Tiger AND get an authentic game-ready jersey for yourself too!  (Details on our KWSF throwback jersey sponsorship page.)
