The 1985 Throwback Jerseys

The Lincoln Tiger Varsity Football Team will continue the tradition of wearing authentic throwback jerseys from the school’s past at Kenny Washington Memorial Game VIII.   At this year’s game, the Tigers will take the field in the iconic white away jerseys worn by the 1985 Northern League Championship team.  The 1985 jerseys stand as one of the best examples of a modern jersey in the school’s storied 100+ year football history.  This year’s game will feature two of the City’s oldest secondary schools – the Lincoln High Tigers vs. the Van Nuys High Wolves

Lincoln High School, Los Angeles was the first high school in California prep sports history to wear a throwback jersey in 2011.  While others have followed, we were the first!  This will be the 8th continuous year the Kenny Washington Memorial Game will see the Tigers in authentic jerseys from their past – a tradition started to honor the legacy of the great Kenny Washington.

This year, you can help sponsor one of our student-athletes with a $50 Sponsorship which will cover the cost of a 1985 game jersey for a Tiger on the field.
