The 1970 Throwback Jerseys – Again!

The Lincoln Tiger Varsity Football Team will continue the tradition of wearing authentic throwback jerseys from the school’s past at Kenny Washington Memorial Game IX.   At this year’s game, the Tigers will take the field in the iconic black home jerseys worn by the early 1970’s Tigers.  They’re back by popular demand as requested by many of our Tiger alumni who have asked for them to make a return.  This year’s game will feature the Lincoln High Tigers vs. the Esteban Torres High Toros.

Lincoln High School, Los Angeles was the first high school in California prep sports history to wear a throwback jersey in 2011.  While others have followed, we were the first!  This will be the 9th continuous year the Kenny Washington Memorial Game will see the Tigers in authentic jerseys from their past – a tradition started to honor the legacy of the great Kenny Washington.

This year, you can help sponsor one of our student-athletes with a $50 Sponsorship which will cover the cost of a 1985 game jersey for a Tiger on the field.
